TELL US YOUR #37VOICES STORY
Over 1.2 million households in New Jersey cannot afford basic, everyday necessities like child care, food, health care, housing, and transportation. These are our neighbors, our classmates, our coworkers, our friends, and our family. It may be you, but know you are not alone.
The stories that are told through the 37 Voices initiative are only a fraction of the experiences people across New Jersey face every single day.
And it’s time to change the narrative around economic hardship in a humane, full, and real way.
That’s why we want to hear from you. We’re collecting stories from people around the state to showcase the reality of experiencing poverty.
Here’s how to share your story:
Call this number toll-free: 732-290-5660
When the call connects, you’ll hear a message recording with the following prompt: “In three minutes or less, tell us: What has it been like to live with economic insecurity in New Jersey?”
You’ll hear a beep; then tell us your story in three minutes or less.
The audio of the stories shared with us will be publicly presented on this site, but we will not reveal any personal identifying information like your name, place of residence, or phone number. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.
We know that it can be hard to share stories of economic hardship, so we appreciate your willingness to participate in this important project.
With gratitude,
Dan, Mike, Molly, and the entire 37 Voices team
